Hello Everyone,
It's a great pleasure to have created The Language Grove Community Preschool. As a mother, I couldn't find a preschool that fully met the needs of my then two-year-old daughter, Isabel. Inspired by her, I founded this school, infusing my vision into every aspect, from the philosophy and classroom design to the emphasis on nature, bilingualism, and overall environment.
My background in Early Childhood Education has allowed me to create a nurturing environment where young children can learn and grow. I'm a strong advocate for bilingualism and value the power of play, believing that multiple languages and imaginative play offer children incredible opportunities for growth, values, and cognitive development. I prioritize creating opportunities for children to take safe risks, embark on adventures, and drive their own learning and inquiry. Additionally, I believe in the importance of nature-based learning and provide ample opportunities for outdoor exploration.
I hold a BA in Psychology, a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis on ages birth to eight, and a Director's certification from the California Commission on Teaching Credentialing. I'm also a proud professor at a local community college, where I teach Child Development courses to aspiring educators. With years of experience as a teacher, director, and administrator in various educational settings, I'm passionate about working with children and families.
Early Childhood Education is my true passion. In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my dogs, spending quality time with family, reading, watching foreign films, and traveling whenever possible.
